Chief of Police Scott P. Livingstone is pictured with the Amherst Regional High School (ARHS) Nordic Ski Team. This past December, Chief Livingstone was contacted by student members of the ARHS Nordic Ski Team for financial assistance to purchase reflective vest, as much of their training is done on town streets. The Amherst Police conduct numerous vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle safety campaigns to promote safety on our roadways, and we were happy to offer our assistance for such a worthy cause. Utilizing grant money that had been ear-marked towards community policing programs, Chief Livingstone supported this endeavor by funding $300 towards the purchase of this much needed safety equipment.
