On Tuesday, November 27, from 7:00 am until approximately 10:00 am, the Amherst Police will be assisting with traffic while the historic Chapin-Ward house and its garage are moved from Kendrick Park to their new site at the Boys Club on Main Street.
Officers will assist with traffic and with detouring vehicles as the buildings make their journey. They will travel South along East Pleasant Street to North Pleasant Street and to the intersection at Main Street where they will then travel East to 290 Main Street.
Detours will be set up, as the roadways along this path will be blocked for approximately three hours. Parking will not be allowed along the route, and parking meters will be bagged until the house and garage pass by.
In case of inclement weather, a rain date has been set for Wednesday, November 28.
