Several Crashes During First Snowstorm

Yesterday, the season's first snowstorm wreaked travelling havoc on the Amherst roadways. From 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Amherst Police Department responded to 20 motor vehicle crashes throughout the town. One of the crashes included reports of injury. The Department of Public Works was also out and working hard to address the slick roads. Motorists are reminded to increase their following distance and to slow down, especially during times of inclement weather.
